Once upon a time, Vince Carter wasn’t a washed up hack who wandered aimlessly around the basketball court looking almost as bloated as his contract. He was a fierce scorer and one of the most explosive, powerful, and electrifying dunkers of all time.

In the Olympic games in 2000, Vince was at the height of his prowess in above-the-rim exploits. Here, in a game against — who else — the French National Team Carter goes up in the air like he is rigged up to wire in a bad Kung Fu movie, levitates over the top of 7’pansy” tall Frederic Weis, and dunks so hard the entire nation of France retreated a few steps (*Author’s note: I know. They’re French. It wouldn’t take much. But still…).

To date, it’s the only gold medal in Olympic Teabagging that has ever been awarded.  In honor of the NBA’s glorious, glorious return: here’s the G.O.A.T. in punching out.
